Please Note - Due to a conflicting special session of the Berkeley City Council with high interest among our membership, the BDC membership meeting will be an early and brief affair to ratify new board members. (State Sen. Nancy Skinner will be rescheduling to join us at a later date TBD.) On March 25th, the Berkeley City Council will discuss an initiative for an inclusive 18-month public process to develop the state-mandated update to the Housing Element of the City’s General Plan. The City of Berkeley has already adopted a resolution of commitment to single-family zoning reform and Mayor Arreguin and Vice-Mayor/Councilmember Droste are recommending a number of changes to increase infill housing in transit-rich neighborhoods.
